In the past, I used to hate math when I was a student. Going to math class was a dreadful experience for me. Although I was a diligent student, math was always challenging. I often wondered if I was stupid for not understanding math. You don’t want your child to feel that way as a parent. Unfortunately, I never had math teachers who could teach math in a way that suited my needs. Therefore, my personal goal is to teach math helpfully and comprehensively. I use diagnostic assessments to drive instruction and identify gaps in math learning. The results of these assessments help me build bridges to close those gaps.
